At Big Shoulders Electrical Services, we believe in doing things the right way. With hard work, pride, and integrity. Our name reflects the values that built both Chicago and Texas, the two places that shaped who I am and how I run this business.

The phrase "City of Big Shoulders" comes from one of Chicago's oldest nicknames, made famous by poet Carl Sandburg. It describes the hardworking, tough, and resilient spirit of the people who built that city. I grew up in Chicago, where I began my electrical career and learned what it means to take pride in your work, to show up every day, do your best, and stand behind what you build.

That same spirit runs deep in Texas, too. Texans know what it means to work hard, stay strong, and take care of family and community. Those shared values of grit, strength, and determination are exactly what Big Shoulders Electrical Services stands for.

After meeting my wife (a proud Texan) in Chicago, we decided to move south when we found out our first son was on the way. For over 20 years now, Texas has been our home — where we've raised our family and built a business grounded in trust, craftsmanship, and service.
